EDITORIAL MAY/JUNE 2009

Hi everybody,

We are approaching most exciting and vital season for Landscape and Garden Design, at least in Northern hemisphere.

This is the time of the year when outcome of our hard work are most visible and effective. Days are long and bright, and even the smallest detail is visible in the overall look of the garden. Important fact and goal that we should have in front of us is satisfaction of our clients, for good design advertises good designer.

Long days and warmer weather together with most of the plants in full swing of life enables garden owners and their guests to spend time in their gardens enjoying fruits of our mind and labor. All the hard work, step by step approach to design, meticulous planning, and good management in realization of each stage that leads to complete design, it is all worth when designer knows that garden is used to the full.

Another vital reason for singling spring/summer season is the fact that all the important events are taking place. This is the perfect time to go out and explore. Work of others can inspire and elevate, but don’t be afraid to turn on your critical eye as well, for nobody is perfect, and we can learn a lot from other people’s mistakes.

Finally, this is the right time to think about your options in personal and professional life. Everything you see exhibited in Chelsea Flower Show in London, or Bloom in Phoenix Park in Dublin, ca be your inspiration as to reach forward and change your future.

That can be you!

Set yourself a goal, no matter how ambitious and unreachable it seams at the moment, and we can help you achieve that goal with ease and enjoyment along the way.
Turn disadvantage of living in recession to advantage in changing towards becoming successful garden designer with Limperts Academy of Design.

In that effect, I tried my best to list several events that should be included in your diary. I hope you will find these pages useful as always.

As a result of this idea we joined forces with Ms Laura Kerins, who offered her garden to our students to design and realize.

Limperts Academy of Design is liaison between students and Ms Laura Kerins. To make sure our students will take this unique offer, (and not somebody else), we ask students to quote their Student’s ID to Ms Kerins. It will also shield her from anybody else who is not Limperts Academy of Design student, for she will run your ID’s by me.
