I would like to extend a warm welcome to all students for the Autumn Interior Design Newsletter.

I am going to take this opportunity to commend all students who have recently completed their final project. We always look forward to the receipt of our students finals; it is true to say that each designer’s individuality really is apparent in each final. Designers have to work hard to grab the attention of their audience; it is fair to say this year’s class room students were no different. There were very strong examples of individuality and a highly-flavoured sense of design flair. Well done to everyone.

Achieving this goal was accomplished with self motivation, dedication, determination and a passion for design. Recent Graduates and Graduates of 2009 – 2010 will be notified shortly of Graduation, this is an important day of observance to mark and commend yourself for all your efforts in your most recent accomplishment. I hope to see you all there! I would like to wish you all continued success in your design paths.

Open days were recently held in London and in Dublin; both were busy evenings with students and past students. For those of you who were unable to make it, there will be another Open Day in September and we would be delighted to welcome you all along to the occasion. Past students have mentioned that they enjoy meeting fellow designers and seeing examples of work produced at the Academy, so please feel free to join us all again in September. As the programme leader I enjoy meeting students and indeed hearing how they are progressing since graduation.

Autumn certainly lends itself to the initiation of study. For those of you contemplating to embark into the world of design, the Open Day is a fantastic opportunity to meet Tutors and Programme Leaders for all the courses and also to meet recent graduates who were not long ago contemplating the same Journey. Some of you will be reflecting on the suitability of home study and classroom study, meeting the tutors will often help you decide on the most appropriate method of study for you.

A number of students have mentioned to me that they have now started their own design blogs. I would be interested to hear similar stories, I am inviting all students to send forward links of their design blogs and websites to my email account tara.kenny@limpertsacademy.com
