Following last year’s success of the Future of Light stand at the Light Middle East exhibition an offer for students from the GCC region the opportunity to display their works of art related to design lighting and architectural lighting solutions. Students are invited to showcase their projects and have the opportunity to have a presence on the show floor illustrating their creations and answering questions that visitors may have. The students will be able to interact and exchange ideas with professional buyers, architects, urban planners, design and engineering consultants, designers and many other leading specifiers within the lighting industry. In conjunction with this year’s students’ lighting exhibit, OSRAM, a prominent advisory panel member of Light Middle East will inaugurate its student outreach program OSRAMforEducation which will offer students the opportunity to win a three-month internship at its headquarters in Germany. Students will be able to submit a proposal for a lighting solution and produce a work of art. The concept will have a fixed theme for entries comprising the environment, recycling, the power of light, light is life, innovation, and sustainability. |

The best day for students to attend would be Monday 30th June. Wayne Hemingway and Conran Design will be hosting seminars on this day along with other industry figure heads. The seminars are also free of charge to attend. The show offers students an excellent opportunity to source ideas. This year they have put together an artisan pavilion of 13 hand made tile manufacturers all who offer something very unique. Coupled with over 100 exhibitors from all areas of the ceramic and stone tiling industry there will be some very unique products on show.
