The room has a simple, modern retro style and has been furnished with high-quality
unfussy furniture and accessories.
Strong geometric shapes are echoed in the curves of the furniture, and the pattern on the
fabric of the curtains, cushions and other design element in the room.
Colour:
The colour scheme of rich browns and reds is evident in the furniture and the fabrics, it is
softened by the lighter colours of the carpet and the walls. The chocolate Brownie colour
beside the chimney breast of the wall is just strong enough to add depth and shape to the
room.
Ambiance:
Sound is as equally important as images in this room. A sophisticated state of the art DVD
home entertainment unit with a flat screen TV has been built into the room so people can
relax in style while watch the latest movies or listening to their favorite tunes.
Points of focus:
And finally I have added a mixed collection of crystal and glass ware to create points of
focus and interest in the room.
I qualified as a graphic designer in 1988 when I graduated from Wrexham College of Art
and Design in North Wales. Since then I have worked as a graphic designer in Scotland
and Ireland. Over the years I have developed an strong interest in interior design, in 2002 I
took the decision to go back to college and further my training in interior architecture and
design.
As an designer I enjoy working with shapes colours and styles. My work is strongly
influenced by designers past and present. Architect frank Lloyd Write and designer Eileen
Gray, are Just two example from whom I have drawn on for inspiration I enjoy seeing my
ideas take shape on paper, when I get the opportunity I render my drawings as perspective
illustrations creating images for visual communication and presentation.
